Last week, part of the Insynth team attended one of the most awaited marketing conferences of the year: INBOUND22! INBOUND is an annual conference organised by HubSpot in Boston. This year, INBOUND22 was hybrid, allowing for anyone to join all around the globe, which meant that some members of our team could also attend from the comfort of our offices or their own home!
INBOUND22 had a clear message: growth comes through connections. Pivoting throughout the pandemic, most companies have had to adapt, doing things in a totally different way than they were a few years ago. And, there is no slowing it down! This has asked for companies to invest in innovation and, yet, we are finding that reaching the customer is now harder than ever before...
We are not connecting; we are not there for each other. INBOUND22 helped us better understand how to effectively support each other and regain the trust that our customers have seen breached. And the journey starts asking a deceptively simple question: what can I do to drive that connection? With that in mind, we took part in different talks, workshops, and lectures, to keep searching an answer to that question.
It's been three years since we have been able to attend INBOUND live, and, to be honest, we really missed it. Over all, we have missed the people, and the ability to speak with each and every HubSpot fan out there.
INBOUND22 was filled with workshops led by industry experts, inspiring events, and fun experiences. It also gave us a fantastic opportunity to network and learn about new business ideas! With over 10,000 attendees, we had the opportunity to meet HubSpot users and partners from almost every corner of the world, getting to speak with HubSpot fans from Spain, France, Chile, or Canada.
We had the pleasure to listen to fantastic speakers and managed to broadcast live a few of the workshops that we attended through our blog.
Yamini Rangan, HubSpot CEO, Dharmesh Shah, co-founder and CTO, and Steph Cuthbertson CPO were just the opening keynotes of an incredible line-up, including Nancy Harbut, Tom Shapiro and Jen Wiese, some of the most established marketing copywriters worldwide, Jay Schwedelson's latest insights on email best practices, Alex Olley share his expertise on evolving from ABM to ABX, Allyson Hugley drawing upon current thinking and perspectives from The B2B Institute, Dale Bertrand on applying artificial intelligence to search engine marketing, and long-time podcaster Michael Ashford explaining how to master your interview technique to create powerful conversations.
And that is just a few!
We could not, however, forget about mentioning some of the thought leaders that also took part in INBOUND22, including Dr Jane Goodall, award-winning actress Viola Davis, and former US President Barack Obama.
Here are some highlights our team shared after attending INBOUND22:
"I really enjoyed INBOUND22 and learning from some of the most influential in the industry. I learnt some best practices with social media and how you are likely to get better engagements on posts. I also learnt keywords that are trending for email open-rates and what times were best to post!" said Sandy, Digital Content Marketer Insynth
"It was great to learn about how data-driven marketers can make better decisions about what content to create by understanding the true business impact and looking beyond vanity metrics." shared Henry, Business Analyst and SEO Specialist at Insynth
"It's good to know some of these practices are already being applied by the team at Insynth, but always refreshing to get alternative takes." mentioned Dom, Technical Writer at Insynth
"I would like to highlight the role of the sign language interpreters at INBOUND22. What a significant step towards better accessibility and inclusivity. Really makes me happy to know anyone watching INBOUND can enjoy themselves and learn." commented Alex, Digital Marketing Apprentice at Insynth
